What is Church Membership?
When we accept Christ into our lives we are united with Christ. Out of this union to Christ we join together with other believers to live in community. We have a new identity and become a part of a new family centered around Jesus.
Church membership is the physical expression of a spiritual reality of a new life in Christ. Without Church membership Christianity looks like a place driven by consumers rather than a community that is identified by and driven by the gospel.
Why Church Membership?
Membership means…ministry and service.
Going from being a consumer to becoming a provider of God’s love and care to others in our Church and those around us. The church isn’t for ourselves, it’s for others.

What does a member look like at Live Free Church?
Free people are disciples. We are daily walking with Jesus, being shaped by him. (Matt 22:36-40)
Free people are shaped by the gospel. We continually read and study the word of God. (Ephesians 2: 1-10)
Free people live in community. Partners for the journey of life. To share in the highs and lows of our walk with Jesus. (1 Cor 12:27)
Free people free people. We are people praying for and pursuing people who are far from Jesus. (Rom 3:23)
Free people are servants. We are a people who use the gifts that God has given us to serve others. (Rom 12:4-5)
Free people are accountable. We are a people who forgive each other, and walk alongside each other in sin and brokenness.(Colossians 3:13)
Free people are generous. We are a people who give freely because we have been given to freely. (John 3:16)
Biblical Reasons for joining Live free
You are not ashamed to identify with Christ or His people (Mark 8:38)
You need to stop being an independent Christian, we are called to community. (Matthew 18:15-17, Hebrews 13:17)
You wish to participate in a stronger, more unified effort of God’s people. (John 17:21)
You have greater opportunities to use spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4)
You want to openly demonstrate the reality of the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:27)
You want to encourage new believers to make a commitment to the local body (Hebrews 10:24)
